Explorers described are Charles Andersson in Kalahari, Cook in southern ocean, Nordenskiöld on North-east Passage, Nansen on Polar ice, Otto Sverdrup in Canadian North, Otto Nordenskjöld, Shackleton, Amundsen, Mawson and Byrd in Antarctic, Amundsen on North-west Passage and in Arctic, Carl Skottsberg in South America, Titina with Nobile and Laika and her successors in Space alone. Also describes dog relay to save Nome from diphtheria epidemic.
