Title: | Dyphavets avleiringer som klimaregistre / Jørn Thiede. |
Translated title: | Archives of global climate change in deep-sea sediments. |
Author(s): | Thiede, Jørn. |

In: | Norsk Polarinstitutt. Rapportserie. (1989.), Vol. 53 (1989) |
Abstract: | On basis of evidence collected in Greenland Sea, Norwegian Sea and Arctic Ocean, suggests dramatic environmental changes and rapid latitudinal shifts of climatic zones over time spans much shorter than believed hitherto. Suggests also that, in recent periods, this region, together with parts of North Atlantic Ocean, has in general been more free of ice over last 5.5 million years. |
