Record #101783:

"Noise" in the distributional responses of fish to environment: an exercise in deterministic modeling motivated by the Beaufort Sea experience / William H. Neill, Benny J. Gallaway.

Title: "Noise" in the distributional responses of fish to environment: an exercise in deterministic modeling motivated by the Beaufort Sea experience / William H. Neill, Benny J. Gallaway.
Author(s): Neill, William H.
Gallaway, Benny J.
Date: 1989.
In: Biological Papers of the University of Alaska. (1989.), Vol. 24 (1989)
Abstract: Examines inadequacies of current models simulating distribution of Arctic cisco and other fish with reference to such environmental variables as temperature. Argues that major cause of "noise" is failure of such models to take sufficiently into account time and spatial variability of environmental factors.
