Record #101751:

Особенности минерального обмена у полярников в Антарктиде

Title: Особенности минерального обмена у полярников в Антарктиде
Title, transliterated: Osobennosti mineralʹnogo obmena u poli︠a︡rnikov v Antarktide / V.P. Klopov, V.A. I︠A︡kovlev, L.L. Bobrov.
Translated title: Mineral metabolism: its specific features typical of polar explorers in the Antarctic.
Author(s): Klopov, V. P.
I︠A︡kovlev, V. A.
Bobrov, L. L.
Date: 1989.
Language: Russian.
In: Antarktika. Doklady Komissii. (1989.), Vol. 28 (1989)
Abstract: Study based on expeditioners wintering over at coastal stations. Intake of minerals shown to drastically decrease due to low concentrations in drinking water and preserved food; yet blood samples reveal high concentrations of macro- and microelements due to limited excretion of these chemicals. Discusses effects of disturbance of diurnal rhythms on mineral metabolism.
