Abstract: Includes graphs of 25 years' records of ¹⁴C in atmosphere and ocean. Tropospheric data for 1962-75 was collected over various periods from total of 14 stations between Madagascar and Svalbard (78° N, 13° E); for last ten years they are limited to two stations in Northern Hemisphere: Nordkapp (northern Norway) and Tenerife. Atmospheric curve normally shows small seasonal variation. Chernobyl event seems to be slightly visible at Nordkapp (71° N, 24° E). Sampling in ocean surface waters was carried out in Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans. Paper is also concerned with latitudinal and seasonal ¹⁴C variation, which reflects various magnitudes of vertical exchange.
