Abstract: In snow-cover modelling and runoff forecasting, aggregational state of precipitation should not be misclassified. Records from 1901 to 1977 were analyzed and it was found that relative percentage of liquid, solid and mixed precipitation in certain temperature range above and below 0°C depends on location, hour of observation, and season. Records from 1981 to 1988 were used in second analysis, which showed that snowfall events at >2°C or rainfall events at <-1°C were of low intensities.
