| Abstract: | Discusses use of gauges capable of weighing rain and snow under extreme weather conditions and recording on automatic data loggers or data recording systems. Six intercomparison stations in different climatic regions are operated; all use Double Fence Intercomparison Reference, standard Canadian Nipher gauge system, and different configurations of recording precipitation gauges. One station operates all recording gauges and shields being tested. |
