Record #101363:

Climate variation and ice conditions in the river Torneälven / Gun Zachrisson.

Title: Climate variation and ice conditions in the river Torneälven / Gun Zachrisson.
Author(s): Zachrisson, Gun.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Helsinki: Valtion Painatuskeskus
In: Conference on Climate and Water, Helsinki, Finland, 11-15 September 1989, convened by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). (1989.), Vol. 1.
Abstract: River in Sweden is subject to severe and even disastrous breakups, associated with rapid increase in water level. Study of connection between breakup date and air temperature was inconclusive; breakups may be caused by man-made changes within drainage basin, e.g. forestry practices, removal of dams, and not by climatic change.
