Record #101361:

150 years since G.G. Hallström's studies on ice break-up dates as climatic indicators / Juha M. Kajander.

Title: 150 years since G.G. Hallström's studies on ice break-up dates as climatic indicators / Juha M. Kajander.
Author(s): Kajander, Juha M.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Helsinki: Valtion Painatuskeskus
In: Conference on Climate and Water, Helsinki, Finland, 11-15 September 1989, convened by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). (1989.), Vol. 1.
Abstract: Hallström was first to apply regression analysis to this problem. Procedure is still relevant and is now simpler to use. Hallström's results, which are based on data for river and lake ice in Finland, are discussed and similar analysis is made for 20th century data. Results show some significant local warming trends but no common pattern.
