Record #101262:

Intermediate-scale sea ice--atmosphere interactions over high southern latitudes in winter / Andrew M. Carleton, Duane A. Carpenter.

Title: Intermediate-scale sea ice--atmosphere interactions over high southern latitudes in winter / Andrew M. Carleton, Duane A. Carpenter.
Author(s): Carleton, Andrew M.
Carpenter, Duane A.
Date: 1989.
Abstract: Demonstrates association between incidence of polar low formation and location of Antarctic sea-ice edge. On interannual time scales (1977-83), positive feedback shown between cold air outbreaks from higher latitides, which leads to sea-ice advance and then to polar low development.
Notes:

Offprint: GeoJournal. Vol. 18(1) :87-101.
