Title: | Exploitation of mineral resources in the north / N.M. Proskuryakov, Yu.V. Shuvalov. |
Author(s): | Proskuryakov, N. M. Shuvalov, Yu. V. |
Date: | 1989. |
Publisher: | Rotterdam: A.A. Balkema |
In: | Mining in the Arctic : proceedings of the 1st International Symposium on Mining in the Arctic, Fairbanks, 17-19 July 1989. (1989.), |
Abstract: | Scientific trend in thermal physics of underground workings in deep mines developed by Soviet scientists has made it possible to create reliable methods for predicting thermal conditions in underground workings, for considering their effect and selecting best processes, for normalizing microclimate in most severe conditions by using tailor-made comprehensive systems, and also by outlining prospects for updating control systems based on comprehensive use of natural and secondary resources of heat and cold. |
Notes: | In: Mining in the Arctic : proceedings of the 1st International Symposium on Mining in the Arctic, Fairbanks, 17-19 July 1989 / Sukumar Bandopadhyay, Frank J. Skudrzyk, eds. |
Keywords: | 622 -- Mining. 624.139 -- Engineering in frozen ground. 697 -- Buildings. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning. P -- Non-renewable resources. (*3) -- Arctic regions. (*50) -- Soviet Union. |
