Record #101126:

Quaternary marine geology of the northwestern Ross Sea / David E. Reid.

Title: Quaternary marine geology of the northwestern Ross Sea / David E. Reid.
Author(s): Reid, David E.
Date: 1989.
In: Antarctic Journal of the United States. (1989.), Vol. 24(5) (1989)
Abstract: Primary objective of study undertaken during Deep Freeze 87 was to resolve stratigraphy and lithofacies relationships generated by advance and retreat of Late Wisconsin ice sheet; identification of basal tills succeeded seawards by glacial-marine deposits would establish northernmost limit of grounded ice in this region during last glacial maximum. Secondary objective was to characterize carbonate deposition in polar glacial-marine setting.
