Abstract: Two-fold aim: to describe range of stratigraphic and petrographic characteristics for ground ice derived from burial and preservation of snowbanks in Klondike and Yukon coastal plain areas, and to demonstrate how petrographic and stratographic analyses can be used to interpret ground-ice genesis.
