Record #100404:

Protection of eggs and chicks against flooding as a part of nesting strategy of pygoscelid penguins at King George Island, South Shetlands / Eugeniusz Moczydłowski.

Title: Protection of eggs and chicks against flooding as a part of nesting strategy of pygoscelid penguins at King George Island, South Shetlands / Eugeniusz Moczydłowski.
Author(s): Moczydłowski, Eugeniusz.
Date: 1989.
In: Polish Polar Research. (1989.), Vol. 10(2) (1989)
Abstract: Presents relationships between the nesting strategy as determined by breeding grounds characteristics, degree of colonisation and breeding time, and climatic conditions of zones in which majorities of particular species populations breed; shows that interspecific differences in schedule reduce competition for nesting sites.
