Title: Ross Sea oceanographic data, 1983-1987 / Stanley S. Jacobs, William E. Haines, J.L. Ardai, Jr, Philip A. Mele.
Author(s): Jacobs, Stanley S.
Haines, William E.
Ardai, J. L.,
Mele, Philip A.
Date: 1989.
Publisher: Palisades, NY: Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory
Abstract: Data collected from US Coast Guard icebreakers Glacier, Polar Sea and Polar Star include observations on continuous vertical profiles of temperature and salinity vs depth (CTD), dissolved oxygen, silicate, phosphate, nitrate, chlorofluorocarbons, carbon dioxide and alkalinity. Most data taken as part of Ross Sea Heat Flux Experiment to examine ocean circulation on the continental shelf in relation to sea ice, glacial ice and deep sea ventilation.
