| Abstract: | Characteristics of sediment-laden, multiyear sea ice are discussed and reviewed, referring to observations on sea-ice samples recently collected from Eurasian basin. Contribution of aeolian deposition of lithogenic material is low; other sources are biogenic, fluvial, littoral and marine in origin. |
