Our present
Today, the Scott Polar Research Institute comprises of the Polar Museum, which welcomes nearly 50,000 visitors a year, the Thomas H. Manning Polar Archives, a Library and Picture Library, working spaces for PhD and MPhil students, researchers and administrative staff, laboratories, cold rooms and a lecture theatre. The research undertaken at the Institute is vital to understanding our changing planet and planning for our global future.
