Copies for Publication and Commercial use
Those wishing to reproduce items from the collections (in any format, including online) should contact the Archive and Picture Library staff in the first instance to discuss the options.
If copyright is owned outside the Institute, it will be necessary for the reader to seek permission to reproduce the material. We do not seek permission on behalf of readers but can forward requests if we are aware of the copyright holder. Once we have written evidence that copyright has been cleared we will supply the copies.
If copyright is owned by the Institute permission to publish or reporduce material must be obtained from us in writing prior to any form of publication. The Institute's terms and conditions for the use of any material are made available with every request to reproduce an image from the collection. They also accompany our licence agreement document which must be signed by both parties before any image is released.
