Before your visit

We are open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm (closing between 1pm - 2pm for lunch) each day for pre-booked research appointments.

Please be aware that we are closed on Bank holidays and for the period between Christmas and New Year.

You will need to provide information on what you wish to look at before you visit as we are not always able to get additional material out on the day. You can search our catalogues and add the items to your booking form or send us a document request form listing the items you want to see.

Some of our collections may be closed or require additional permissions before access can be granted. For this reason we ask for information on your proposed research topic when you book a research desk so that we may guide you appropriately.
