Ice Cap Station Arctic Challenge 2009 Interim report Personal quest to follow in the footsteps of Augustine Courtauld. From the original location of the British Arctic Air Route Expedition to the location of the Ice Cap Station. £500
The Glasgow Academy East Greenland Expedition 2009 Interim report To climb mountains in the area including first ascents. To collect botanical and entomological samples and to experience Inuit culture. £1,800
Arctic Mariner Interim report To be the first to navigate the Northwest Passage in an open boat powered only by oar and sail. The expedition aims to traverse the most challenging section and heart of the Northwest Passage. £1,500
North Pole 2010 Training Expedition To Acquire knowledge and experience of a polar environment in order to begin an expedition to the Geographic North Pole. £500
Greenland 2009 – ‘Tilman’ in the far North Interim report Further First ascents of peaks Kangerdluarssuguaq Fjord, first ascents of rocklimbs in ‘undiscovered’ area near Upernavik 72º 40’N and a few other firsts. £1,500
Carbon Neutral Greenland Crossing 2009 Interim report The whole expedition will be truly Carbon Neutral. To their knowledge it is a world’s first involving return sailing trip from the UK and full ski and kite traverse. £1,500
Imperial College East Greenland 2009 Interim report To make first ascents of unclimbed peaks in the Sortebrae region and Borgetinde massif areas of East Greenland. £2,000

Rowan Huntley Interim report and Full report To make a comprehensive visual study in paint of the unique Polar environment of this Arctic Region and to exhibit it widely thereafter. £500
