| Activities: | The fundamental mission of DGGU's Greenland Geoscience Unit is to establish the broad geological basis for the exploration and development of Greenland's mineral resources embracing minerals, petroleum, gas, coal and hydropower. Carries out geological, geophysical, geochemical and glaciological studies under the authority of the Ministry of Environment and Energy. The GREENMIN (Greenland Mineralisation Data Bank) holds data on all known economic mineral localities. DGGU also holds comprehensive data archives for seismic studies, well logs and a core archive. The Greenland Bibliography Database contains over 8000 references to the geosciences in Greenland. Library. |
