Several exhibits illustrate Nordenskjold's Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901-04) for which the museum holds many artifacts brought back following conservation work at Snow Hill and Hope Bay. Also exhibys for Belgian Antarctic Expedition of de Gerlache (1897-99). Good collection of ship models including several polar; models of aircraft and helicopters used on Argentine Antarctic expeditions. Also art gallery with Antarctic paintings. |
