Activities: The Mawson's Huts Foundation was established in 1997 to conserve and protect the original huts of the 1911-1913 BANZARE expedition, led by Sir Douglas Mawson. The Foundation runs expeditions to the historic site, as well as educate the broader Australian public on the work of Mawson through its mobile Antarctic classroom, as well as a full scale replica of the huts, in Hobart, Tasmania.
