Biography
Heather Lane graduated from the University of Oxford in 1981 and trained at the British Library. Her research interests include classification theory, particularly facet analytical theory. She is a member of the UK Classification Research Group. After obtaining a post-graduate qualification in Library and Information Studies in Aberystwyth, her professional career has been based in Cambridge, where she worked first as Assistant Librarian at Gonville and Caius College and then as Librarian of Sidney Sussex College. In 2005, she was awarded the English Speaking Union/CILIP Travelling Librarian Award.
