Georgina Cronin BA (Hons)
Library Assistant
Biography
After gaining an interest in librarianship through a part-time post at her local public library during her undergraduate studies, Georgina Cronin started her Cambridge library career as a Junior Library Assistant at the Cambridge University Library. The post allowed her to gain a wealth of knowledge about academic libraries, collections management and reader services. She also had the opportunity to conduct induction tours for new students, assist with open days and public events such as the science@cambridge festival. With the chance to take up a secondment in a more frontline supervisory role with the Library's Entrance Hall team, her professional interest in reader services and the user experience of libraries grew and is now the focus of her work.
Georgina is currently studying towards a MSc in Information and Library Management at Northumbria University.
