Art of Exploration: the Polar Vision of Sir Wally Herbert

This stunning exhibition captures the spirit of the Polar World, as never seen before – through the eyes of a man who is the bridge between the heroic age of exploration and modern adventure; a visionary who has walked in the footsteps of all the greatest explorers, and learned the art of survival from the Inuit themselves.

The exhibition is accompanied by Sir Wally's book, The Polar World was completed shortly before his death, and includes a foreword by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. It is available in hardback and as a special limited edition, combining Sir Wally's personal anecdotes of his experiences in the Arctic and Antarctic with his descriptions of the inspiration behind the paintings that illustrate this book.
