Full description:

Carving: Candleholder. Made of grey soapstone in the shape of a walrus. Circular extension (25 mm high) at centre back for candle. White glass beads are inserted for the eyes. Circular depressions form the nostrils; cross-hatched incisions on the muzzle. Two wooden toothpick tusks in white circular pin tops (recent addition) are inserted into holes on each side of mouth (originals missing). End of burnt white candle is inserted into holder.
