Full description: |
Rectangular made from a double layer of tanned smoked skin. Two rectangular pockets are sewn to front. Front is painted in 5 bilaterally symmetrcial geometric designs of rectangles, triangles, diamonds and curves in red and blue. Each design is outlined by a blue rectangle. Motif at centre back is flanked by 2 1/2 vertical red diamonds. Edge is bordered with painted red line and milky white and transparent green beads applied in three-beaded edging technique on white thread. Three skin tabs are sewn to straight left side. Slits in tabs correspond to three circular beige buttons, with circular metal centres, sewn to right side. Metal eye on the back of each button is inserted through skin and secured with a metal ring. Structural sewing is with cotton thread. |
