| Full description: |
Whole.: Standing on a small rock is a sea bird with a rather short tail, legs and feet, generally thought most likely to represent a species of skua, probably a juvenile. The feathers are skilfully engraved, with their light edges, but the legs and feet are less convincing. Perhaps the creature was stuffed. |
