30A.: A portrait bust inscribed "Sir Henry Trollope", a distinguished naval officer (1756-1839). It was copied from the European Magazine and London Review for December 1802, but was probably scrimshawed later.
30B.: Woman in a simple ankle length indoor gown ca. 1820, probably for dinner, then served ca. 4.30pm (16.30hrs). The waist is now only slightly raised but the bodice still shows military influence. |
