25A.: An American ship under shortened sail with two sperm whale carcasses alongside, one being cut-in and with two whale-catchers in pursuit of others nearby; one fast in a whale which is blowing blood as the bow man uses his lance on the other, the bow man is about to harpoon a Sperm whale. Surrounding the scene are whale-lines and a lance crossing a two-flued harpoon.
