Note: Text, on front: 'The settlement of Ritenbeck from Alert, looking SW. text, on reverse: 'island of Disco in distance ... we came in here yesterday, 16 July to get the Discovery's dogs - ours came on board at Godhaven, Disco. There is a good Loomery about 6 miles to NE and we laid in a days provisions of Looms without much trouble. Their eggs were unfortunately too far hatched to make omlettes'.
