Note: Text, hand-written on reverse of paper: 'The last of the Paleocrystic floe, a solitary dovekie breaks the mirror of the sea. Cape Constitution of kane abeam and we are going 6 knots an hour southwards. [Kap Constitution] 10 p.m. 20 August 1876.
