Parka: Man's, inner. Knee-length with attached hood. Made from caribou skin with the hair to the interior. Front is made from one piece which extends over shoulders to the back. Back is made from a single piece which extends to form back of pointed hood. Each side of hood is made from one main piece with additional small pieces added to top. Face opening is bordered with dark brown fur (dog or wolf - from typed register). Sleeves are each made from one main piece attached to dropped shoulder. Additional pieces are sewn to end of left sleeve to form a wide cuff; smaller pieces are sewn to end of right sleeve. Band of red, blue, white and yellow striped fabric is sewn with cotton thread around straight bottom edge and along side splits above compact caribou skin fringe. Structural sewing is with sinew and cotton thread.
