Full description: |
Shaft is made from a single piece of wood, circular in cross-section. Shaft constricts at mid-section and flares towards each end. Ivory peg is inserted into proximal end. Ivory shaft (broken) is inserted into hole at centre of circular ivory cap secured to distal end. Three ivory lateral prongs (one broken) are attached at mid-section with wrapping of beige thread. Each flattened prong is made from a single piece of ivory with three barbs carved on one side. |
