Full description:

Bladder-float. model: Made from a single piece of wood stained dark brown carved with fore and hind flippers. Two flattened ivory pegs are attached to each end of dehaired seal skin thong which is threaded through hole in float. Dehaired seal skin line is inserted into pointed end of float. Opposite end of line is slit. Semi-circular piece of ivory attached to another seal skin line is threaded through slit. Rectangular piece of ivory with two circular holes is attached to line. End of line is threaded through lateral line channel on underside of ivory harpoon head. Head is carved with triangular pointed blade, notched sides and circular basal socket.
