Full description:

Sprayskirt, model: Used in kayak. Made from a single piece of dark brown dehaired seal skin sewn into circular shape with sinew and black cotton thread. Upper and lower edge are turned to the interior to form a casing. Dehaired skin thong is threaded through part of casing around upper edge. Ends of thong are inserted into ivory knobs. Two ivory hooks attached to skin thongs are sewn to upper edge where thongs emerge from casing. Double skin thong is sewn to opposite side of upper edge with black cotton thread. Three circular pieces of ivory separated by knots are threaded on each thong which terminates in a triangular ivory knob. Sinew threaded through casing around lower edge. Structural sewing is with sinew and black cotton thread.
