Full description:

Harness, dog: Made from dehaired skin (walrus?) forming two loops. Three cross-straps of same are threaded and looped through slits at right angles (see Reference). One end of dehaired skin thong is threaded and braided through hole at the back. Thong is threaded through holes in bone toggle. "31.1161c" in black ink on toggle.
