Harness, dog: Harness is made from two loops of dehaired cream seal skin (bearded ? - from typed register). Three cross-straps of same are threaded and tied (see typed register entry) through slits at right angles. End of dehaired seal skin draught-strap is tied to ends of harness. Opposite end of line is threaded and spliced (see Reference note) through smaller hole in oval ivory buckle. Large circular hole through centre of buckle. |
