Full description:

Trace, dog: Main line is made from partially dehaired walrus skin (from register entries). An additional piece of same is sewn to main line and spliced through holes to form a braid. Ends are cut in half to form two elongated loops. Opposite end of main line is split in half. Two additional pieces of same are wound around main line. End forms a short loop which is threaded through two semi-circular holes at the centre of bone toggle. Toggle is rectangular in shape with convex and concave surfaces. Toggle is threaded through split at end of elongated loop.
