A single piece forms the sole which is turned over the sides of the foot and crimped around the toe and heel. Slit in skin, forming a loop, is made at seam on each side of foot 95 mm from toe. Hole on back of leg on boot (a) is patched with dehaired sealskin on the interior sewn with sinew in running stitch. Stocking (c) is inserted into boot (a) with fur to the interior and extends 53 mm above top of the boot. Stocking (d) is separate from boot and turned so that fur is to the exterior. Sole of stocking (d) is made from several pieces of seal skin; upper foot and around ankles are made from white fur (dog?); leg section is made from a single piece of seal skin seamed vertically down centre front; 53 mm wide band of cream seal skin is sewn to interior of straight upper edge.
