Emergency evacuation instructions for Ocean Camp, Endurance Expedition

Shackleton gave the order to abandon ship on 27 October 1915. Endurance had been crushed beyond repair by the ice and was sinking fast, leaving the men stranded on dangerous ice floes, far from land.
They salvaged provisions from the wreck and made a camp on the ice which they named, Ocean Camp.
Shackleton worked out in detail what each man was to do if the ice broke under the camp, a copy of the instructions was pinned to each tent.

The dark stains on the paper are smoke from the blubber stove.
