Polar Record
Four issues of Polar Record were published by Cambridge University Press during 2005. The journal continued under the editor, Dr Beau Riffenburgh, and the assistant editor, Dr Liz Cruwys, as an internationally-refereed journal of polar research for the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Mrs Ailsa Macqueen also made valuable contributions to the journal during the year. At the end of the year, Dr Riffenburgh retired after 14 years as editor, and Dr Cruwys left her position with the journal as well. The new editor will be Ian R. Stone, who has long been a member of the journal's Advisory Board.
