Polar Research

Our research ranges over both polar regions. It encompasses aspects of the natural sciences, especially concerning ice, and also the social sciences and humanities. Research programmes this year have worked in the Russian and Canadian Arctic, Svalbard, Antarctica and in the polar seas, supported by competitively won grants.
